The weekend before Easter, the East Cobb Park had an egg hunt (which we heard was a disaster last year...not terrible this year). We went since it's close to the house. The girls had a great time picking up eggs and were really getting the hang of Easter, well, the candy part anyway. It will probably be another year or two before the true religious purpose sets in for them.
East Cobb Park Egg Hunt:
No offense to the individual in the bunny costume, but this had to have been just about the most lifeless and boring Easter bunny ever. He didn't even bend down ONCE for any of the kids and get him to offer a hug to the kids...forget it! He was a pretty bad bunny, but I suppose it was still fun for the kids to get a photo with him.
After the egg hunt in our backyard:
No one tell Kaitlyn that she has those on upside down. I'm sure she thinks she looks GREAT! :-)
Easter Sunday has arrived!!! We went to church with Great Grandma, MeeMaw, PaPa, Aunt Ceyelse, Uncle Brad, Cousin Mackenzie and Cousin Blake. Then, after church, we went back to Great Grandma's house for an egg hunt and brunch!!! What a great Easter spent with family. Photos below:
Nicole and Mackenzie are two peas in a pod. I think Mackenzie adores the fact that Nicole seems to worship her and will do just about anything she says. It's so cute to watch. And don't think I haven't used Mackenzie's "power" to my advantage to get Nicole to eat when she doesn't want to!!!
Trying to get all of the Grandkids together for a photo. I don't think Blake likes "girls" yet...what do you think??? :-)
A funny photo!!!
The egg hunt in Great Grandma's front yard.
Then back to our house to see what the Easter bunny left for us there (no time before early church). Probably the last year we'll be able to pull that off. In future years, I bet the girls will be waking up early just to see what the Easter bunny brought!
Looks like he brough lolly pops!!! What else?
Mommy and Daddy gave them the little silver bracelet. They have a cross charm on them, so that was our attempt at celebrating Easter for what it's really about. It lasted all of about 30 seconds on their wrists and then they took them off. So, I swiped them up for fear of them getting lost and will probably re-gift them next year. Ha!
Sunglasses, stickers and more lolly pops!!!
